Reality and magic intimately linked, characteristic of medieval and Ancient Greek bestiaries, constitute the starting point of the choreographic project PHOENIX. Using mythical beings and their characteristics as inspiration, the dancers focus on creating a contemporary bestiary. They travel through time and space, taking on forms of magical, realistic or abstract figures.
Using choreographic tools, such as juxtaposition, breaks and accumulation, the performance concentrates on image and meaning transformation throughout its duration.
Between dream and reality, these constantly evolving modern day creatures and chameleons reveal their inner psychological landscapes and express opinions about the world they inhabit.
