CATHERINE NODEN, lighting design. Catherine Noden graduated from the ISTS in Avignon and from the Association Française de l’Eclairage in Paris. Since 1996, she has designed and produced numerous light productions for various artists (Ezec le Floc’h, Christine Jouve, Cie Goudard A.A.R.I.C., Bernard Glandier, Patrick Verschueren, Christian Chessa, Laurence Vigné). She is also regularly involved in various festivals such as Montpellier Danse, Radio France festival, Dyonisia international theater festival in Italy, Avignon festival IN and OFF. She is currently working with choreographers Raphael Cottin and Jean Luc Verna. She has been working with Michèle Murray on a regular basis and has designed the lights for Michèle Murray’s creations ATLAS / STUDIES (2018), WILDER SHORES (2020) and currently EMPIRE OF FLORA (2022).
Inspired by sculpture during her training at the Beaux-arts of Sète, her research focuses on work for urban spaces dealing with architecture and the visual arts. This has led her to the creation of several personal productions, as well as to lighting design of contemporary art exhibitions such as the ‘Bombay Maximum City’ and ‘Istanbul Traversée’ in Lille, France or ‘Le Laboratoire’ in Paris, a space dedicated to research concerning art and science.
